Projects

My time at Moravian has truly been great. In high school, I had a lot of opportunities to get involved with the community. As someone who was given the opportunity to continue my education in the same city, I wanted to ensure that I continued with my involvement. Below are some of the projects that I believe deserve to be highlighted.

America Reads & 3D Printing

Student Mentor / Liaison

With my experience in 3D printing and design, I initiated a partnership with America Reads to help keep local middle school students engaged with learning.

Five Star Heart

Volunteer Mentor

In my first year at Moravian, I was given the opportunity to become a mentor as part of a select group of 4-5 students chosen each year and it was one I could not miss out on. We worked with 100s of athletes from local middle schools to inspire them to achieve at their highest level.

Making a 3D Model of Campus

Project Member

Another student and I initiated this project where we used images to create 3D models of the different buildings on campus. After I successfully made the proposal for the ~$1,000 purchase of a drone, we used it to take the hundreds of photos needed to create the 3D models.

CS Projects

Moravian Football Game

Java Program

For my CSII course, I was unsure of what to make for my final project. After a brief meeting with my professor, I was given the idea to do something football-related. It uses an array of different values to create the boundaries and footballs shown on the J-Frame display. There is room for improvement and hopefully I will be able to continue developing this in the future.

Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU)

Computer Organization

This project was not anything too special but I had a lot of fun building this ALU for my computer organization course. It has a total of 8 different inputs and required 8 integrated circuits.

My 3D Printers

Hobby/Side-Project

In my free time, I like to work on building 3D printers and learning new ways to design items using CAD software. More often than not I am fixing at least one of these printers but I am constantly learning and forced to solve problems.

I bought a Raspberry Pi 4 and used it to connect one of these printers (Ender 5 Pro) so that I could print directly from my laptop. By connecting an old PS4 camera, I was able to get a live feed of it as well.

Why so many? I don't really know. I actually bought another one after this video was taken...
